UNICEF Report Indicates Canada Needs to Improve Childhood Well-Being

Downtown Eastside school striving for excellence in the midst of poverty

Interesting article in today’s Vancouver Sun about educating and providing hope for children in Vancouver’s poorest neighbourhood.  Vonnie Hutchingson, the principal of Sir William Macdonald elementary school on East Hastings Street, is aiming for the school to be “a vibrant educational institution” with the help of local donations to bring technology to the classroom.
