Results of the UBC Education Library Puppet Naming Contest

It was an exciting past few weeks! UBC Education Library ran a very entertaining and popular puppet naming contest.  The contest was so popular, in fact, that it had to be extended!  Patrons were coming into the library just for the display, becoming very invested in the naming and curious about the winners.

Our 2020 “Blind Date with a Book” Collection Spotlight, where all the books were wrapped in plain paper and given simple clues on the outside was also a much-loved and enjoyed display.

The entries for the puppet naming contest were tabulated when the contest ended Monday, November 21 at noon. The names were judged on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 23.

Prizes ranged from various UBC Library “swag” including mugs and stationery.  The winning patrons have been contacted.
