B.C. secondary students who wish to become teachers can now apply for one of twenty $5,000 Pathway to Teacher Education scholarships. Scholarship winners will be awarded a $5,000 voucher to redeem upon entrance to one of B.C.’s faculty of education programs. Click here to read the B.C. Ministry of Education News Release

A research study conducted by a professor in UBC’s Faculty of Education in collaboration with UC-Riverside has found that when children engage in small acts of kindness they experience a surge in happiness, and this may help to decrease bullying.
